Welcome to the second edition of the Oracle. All Change Please, All Change! Since the last ‘Oracle’ before Christmas 2021, there have been some significant developments at O HQ. Perhaps most notably, I have decided to leave my role as General Counsel (Regions) at Network Rail to focus exclusively on driving our O Shaped Purpose and Vision forward. Bringing my career on the railway to the end of the line has only been made possible by the unwavering support of the O Shaped Steering Board as well as contributions from many more of you who have participated in the GC workstreams, joined O Shaped webinars or just simply been there for me when I needed you. I am excited, nervous, but mainly bursting with pride that this is becoming a reality. Thank you for all your support in making it happen. It means the world. I am also delighted that Catherine Baker, founder of Sport and Beyond and O Shaped Steering Board member has agreed to become the Chair of O Shaped. Both personally and for the O, this is huge. Catherine’s track record of developing leaders and leadership teams across the world will be vital for O Shaped to achieve its vision.
