Half a Year, Whole Impact It’s been 6 months since I made the difficult decision to leave a job I loved at Network Rail, to focus exclusively on driving O Shaped and its purpose-led mission forward. It’s therefore a good time to reflect on some of the highlights in a mid-year progress update. Our partnerships with legal educators COLP, BARBRI, BPP and Damar Apprenticeships are the first of their kind, bringing the O Shaped Mindset and Attributes to life for aspiring legal professionals. Our collaboration with Browne Jacobson has been one of the biggest statements of intent so far as we work together to embed O Shaped thinking across a leading law firm in the UK for the first time. In this newsletter, we are also proudly launching the O Shaped Recruitment toolkit which is the product of one of four ongoing O Shaped General Counsel workstreams. In addition to the Steering and Future Boards, we have now built a truly world class O Shaped Faculty, headed up by the brilliant Carrie Fletcher of Harvard Law School and London Business School. We are delivering leadership development workshops for law firms and in house teams alike, including with two cohorts from the outstanding Legal, Governance and IP teams at FTSE 100 company Ocado. We have collaborated with our partners at The College of Legal Practive to develop the first ever law school modules focussed exclusively on O Shaped.
Most importantly, O Shaped is, and will all always be, about people. I am lucky enough to work with some of the kindest, smartest and most forward-thinking people around. We cannot shift the culture of a profession unless we do it as a collective and I am so grateful to those who are behind the O Shaped vision. So, there’s a lot happening right now and six months into full time O Shaped, was it the right thing to do? Abs O lutely! Thank you and enjoy the Oracle.
